How T.B. JOSHUA’s Wife Emerged SYNAGOGUE Leader

by Wale Lawal

Real facts are starting to come up regarding the emergence of Mrs. Evelyn Joshua as the appointed leader of the Synagogue Church  Of All Nations. The embattled widow of the late founder of SCOAN, Prophet TB Joshua, has been embroiled in an intricate leadership tussle with some senior pastors of the church, some of whom were members of the Five Disciples who were regarded as the most powerful and closest pastors to the late Prophet TB Joshua.

Shortly after the renowned televangelist passed away, there were already speculations that some senior pastors of the church were already positioning themselves to take over the leadership of the church. Expectedly, this was a development that did not go down well with the widow of the late man of God. But she concealed her displeasure and chose to respect her late husband by not confronting the said pastors until the husband had been laid to rest. She apparently didn’t want controversies trailing the burial of her beloved husband.

But once the burial and funeral rites were over, she got down to business. And one of the first things she did was to get the elders of the church on her side. According to an inside source, Mrs. Evelyn Joshua has always had a cordial relationship with the elders of the church and members of the Board Of Trustees (BOT). Her humility and show of respect towards the elders had always endeared her to them. While her husband was alive, she never carried herself like the wife of the founder and walked around the elders with chips on her shoulder. She humbled herself before them. This is why they all rallied round her when she turned to them for help. And though some of them were obviously torn between standing by her and supporting the anointed disciples of their late founder, the late Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, in the end, they followed their conscience and stood by the widow of their late beloved founder. She needed just the support of about 12 members of the elders and BOT but instead got well over double of that figure and the backing of over 2,000 members of the church. According to our inside source, “even before the courts pronounced their verdict, wife of our founder had gotten the backing of everyone that’s important in the church. The court ruling was just a mere formality which gives authority to her emergence as the leader of the church.”

Shortly after her emergence as leader of the church, there were speculations that the church detained some senior pastors of the church over embezzlement of funds. The leadership of Synagogue Church of All Nations says no one is in detention or being victimised over the ongoing audit of the church.

The document said that the attention of the leadership of the Church has been drawn to the news on the social media about the purported arrest and detention of some disciples of the Church by the newly appointed SCOAN Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairperson and Leader of the Church, Mrs Evelyn TB. Joshua.

According to statement, SCOAN wants the public and friends of the church to disregard such reports as they are untrue. “We stand in the light and we cannot compromise the ideal and legacy of our mentor and founder, late Senior Prophet TB Joshua on integrity, spiritual worship, unconditional love and humanitarianism.

“The public will recall that on Sept. 9TH 2021, the Board Of Trustees of SCOAN appointed Mrs. Evelyn TB.Joshua widow of the late founder, its Chairperson. “This followed an order of the Federal High Court in Suit No. FHC/L/CP/1109/2021 which appointed Mrs Evelyn TB.Joshua as a Trustee.

“The BOT had also appointed Mrs. TB Joshua as the new leader of the Church with ratification by not less than 2,000 congregations of the Church at a meeting on Thursday, Sept.9, 2021.”

According to it, consequently and in view of the discovery of cases of financial misappropriation perpetrated in the past few months, reckless individualism and unimaginable acts contrary to the administration of the Sanctuary with the passing of the founder, issues had to be addressed.

“The church leadership took steps to secure certain critical assets of the Church with an authorisation for a comprehensive audit of the activities of the SCOAN since the founder passed away.

“This inventory involved some category of church workers including Disciples and it is being carried out objectively under a regular and absolutely normal environment without any harassment of persons.

“Contrary to the falsehood now being peddled by mischief makers in the media, the audit is not to intimidate anyone as it is to strengthen the organisation,” it said.
