My mother was an inspiration to many souls. She’s my world, a precious gift from God, my hero. You are the reason why I have such a good value of life, a hardworking, dedicated and religious woman. You’ve been the source of my progress, courage and strong pillar upon which I rest. My hero, a great mom. You did a fantastic job loving and raising us with tough love. We appreciate you. The sand of time will never wash away the love I have for you. Your sweet memories will remain forever in my heart. The last time I spoke with you, you told me you are travelling to Ibadan not knowing you are saying goodbye. The joy you brought us will never end. One day we will be together again. Though we miss you but we believe you are with your Sweetheart and Jesus. Continue to rest in the Lord. (Mrs. Ann Adepeju Adeoso, Daughter) A Sweet mother you are indeed who will go any length to protect the interest of her family. We your children saw you as a colossus in our lives. You are a real force to be reckoned with. A disciplinarian, tough, resilient but with a caring heart of gold. Growing up we thought you were too strict with us but as we grew old into adulthood we realised your actions were borne out of love and desire for your children to be successful. We thank you for instilling good virtues/values in us and for your generosity and kindness to us as a family. We will sorely miss you but we are happy that you will be reunited with our dear dad, your sweetheart. May your gentle soul continue to rest in peace.
(Mrs. Adebukunola Jagun, Daughter)
Iya ni wura me. I can’t believe and comprehend that you’ve gone. You have left a big vacuum in my life. I wish I have the power to bring you back but I rest assured that you are with the angels and you will
surely meet Christ. Mummy, you may not be perfect, but you’re a good mother who loved, cared for and
protected her children. Your generosity to us had no limit. You worked really hard to ensure you do not become a burden to us. As we mourn losing you, the angels are rejoicing in having you. Your love and the fact that you’re in a better place gives me strength and comforts me. I pray that the Lord grants you eternal rest and that the fruits of your labour that you left behind will never wither in Jesus mighty name. Iya mi owon, iya ni wura mi, sun re ooo
(Ms. Ololade Sijuade, Daughter)
Mummy, your departure to the great beyond still remains a mystery to me as I still feel your presence everywhere around me. Bonding with you in the last few years was indeed a great privilege to gain more from your wealth of knowledge and experience. You raised all of us to be independent and never to be a burden to anyone. You taught us how to be prayerful and to be virtuous women. Your generosity to us is second to none. I am indeed blessed to have escaped from your womb. Mummy the superwoman, a disciplinarian to the core, a woman of many parts, there is no task that is difficult for you to accomplish, I admire you and salute your courage always. I am missing you greatly, I remember how I teased you and how I often surprised you with any meal you desire to eat. Caring and loving you till your last days left me with beautiful memories of you. Your prayers and words of appreciation all the time have kept me going. You are indeed an angel, you had the premonition of your death, and you spoke in parables to each one of us. You even requested that we celebrate your eightieth birthday which we obliged you. Indeed your greatest desire after all your accomplishment was to reunite with our father and I have no doubt that you’ve both seen yourselves in heaven. My sweet Mummy rest in the bosom of the Almighty God.
Adieu. (Dr. OIufunmiiolaAdenuga,JP. Daughter)
Mummy, it is really hard for me to come to terms with the reality of your death. The fact that I will not see you on earth again is like a dream I should wake up from. Many times, I had been to your house on my way from work before it dawned on me that you are no longer around. However, I am sure you knew you would be leaving us by the different things we saw after your demise. You told me we should celebrate your 80th birthday for you and after that, the ‘Great Event’ I then asked what “the great event” meant; you just smiled.! want to thank you for your care, sacrifices, love, generosity and above all, your prayers.I took after your profession and you earnestly prayed for me that I will be greater than you. I thanked God you are a witness of how far God has helped me and is still helping me. Your teachings, corrections, and strictness made me what I am today. Thank you for the way you mothered me. If there is another life, I will choose you and dad over and over again. You will be lovingly remembered as you rest on.Ore mi, Alabaaro mi, Alaanu mi, Abiyamo tooto. Sun re o. Abolade Adebisi.
(Abolade Adebisi Daughter)
Dear mother, you birthed, raised and nurtured me into the man I am today, and I do not take for granted the sacrifices you made to ensure a comfortable life for your household and beyond. Your death impacted me in ways I didn’t expect, but the years we had together impacted me the most. Each day I remind myself not to think of you as gone because your journey just began. Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one. I think of you as resting in a place of warmth, peace, and comfort far away from the tears and sorrows of this world. No more hustle, no more bustles, no more days nor years to number. You lived a fulfilled life, everything your heart desired you achieved, a life full of amazing memories. These memories will forever live in my heart and your legacy will not be forgotten. In these, I take solace as I bid you goodnight till we meet again at the feet of our Lord. I love you Mum and I wish you and Dad eternal rest.
